Luss, was
originally built in the 18th to early 19th Centuries by Sir
James Colquhoun, Laird of Luss. These original estate cottages
housed his foresters, farm labourers and quarrymen. The village,
and other locations around this part of the Loch feature in
the popular television production, "High Road" as
the fictional Glendarroch.
Luss is a place with superb views from the beach, or the
village pier where you can embark for a cruise around Loch
Lomond's islands. Alternatively you can wander around this
lovely village, enjoy its delights and maybe relax in one
of the tearooms.
