At the base of dramatic cliffs on the western edge of Seil Island the neat white washed cottages of Ellenabeich were built by slate quarry men working on nearby Easdale Island. In its heyday 600 families lived both here and on the island and the industry thrived until 1881 when severe storms flooded the quarries.

Today Ellenabeich is a peaceful and picturesque holiday destination with spectacular views. This property was originally the workshop of the late C John Taylor, Poet, Artist and Composer. In a beautiful location on the waters edge, facing the jetty and taking advantage of the wonderful seascape. This newly refurbished cottage has a sunny interior, compact, fresh and modern with a cosy cottage atmosphere. It is all one level with ramp access.
